Oceanside in Aspen

I was a little leery of ordering oysters on a Sunday night. (12 years in Colorado have taught me to avoid anything from the ocean on Sundays and Mondays.) I was amazed to have oysters as fresh as I've tasted on any shore. My husband had the Dungeness crab which was an extraordinary value and had the most amazing dipping sauce I've tasted in some time. Our drinks were well worth the price tag. The service unfortuantely was slow at first and slightly unfriendly, though the bartender proved to be very nice by the end of our visit. Regretfully we were unable to have a full dinner, but the next time we're in Aspen I plan on dropping some well deserved $ at this restaurant.

Pros: Great setting, house infused vodkas, fresh raw bar

Cons: Slighty snotty service

A Definite Choice for Dinner!

Of all the restaurants we visted in Aspen, this was our favorite! Our foursome enjoyed every bite. I can personally vouch for the boulliabaise which was incredible. Everything tastes very fresh. Pacifica also has an excellent wine list (and some that aren't on the list if you ask for the wine expert.) We received excellent service. The place is fairly small, so I suggest calling ahead for reservations. I will definitely go back.
