Aspen Colorado

Located 8,000 feet above sea level in the Rocky Mountains, Aspen may be considered a world-class winter destination, but when the snow melts, the city really comes alive, and there's more adventure to come when the greenery appears. This small mountain community has several local ski resorts also hosts events such as the Winter X Games.

In mid-June, food and wine lovers will head to Aspen for the Food & Wine Classic, a three-day event that includes wine tastings, food trucks, wine tastings, classes, and much more.

Aspen has received a lot of publicity from rich and famous visitors, but the real attraction is the ski resorts. From the rich to the famous, and even young and old and everyone in between, there is something for everyone.

Aspen Highlands offers the legendary Highland Bowl, and Snowmass offers large cultivation areas and variety that offer something for everyone. Aspen also offers backcountry lodges, the so-called 10th Mountain Hut Division, as well as a number of ski resorts, such as the Ski Mountain Lodge.

The surrounding peaks are some of the most picturesque in Colorado and offer a huge playground for winter and summer activities. Aspen offers many opportunities to climb the Maroon Bells, one of the most photographed peaks in North America.

Aspen Snowmass offers the possibility to reach all four ski resorts with the same lift ticket.

Of course, Aspen is a great place to buy ski equipment and clothing, as well as snowboard and tubing gear. There are a number of ski rental shops where you can rent all kinds of equipment, including skis and snowboards in winter and bicycles in summer.

With the exception of Snowmass, the ski areas of Aspen are for all skill levels. It's not just about skiing, though, it's about the people making the most of their lives in this beautiful area. On a smaller scale, it certainly has its own strong culture, and countless visitors flock to it every year to experience its amazing film and music festivals.

While the ski season in Aspen changes from year to year, visitors and residents alike are always looking forward to it, and it is still one of the most popular ski areas in Colorado.

Aspen snowfall is a fine, powdery substance that is perfect for skiing but also ideal for locals looking for a quick fix in the countryside.

The drive south from Aspen takes you across the Continental Divide, and along the way, you pass a ghost town that is open to visitors. For children who are just learning or looking for more manageable terrain, you can catch the free public bus to Buttermilk Mountain, which is located two miles from downtown Aspen.

If you spend the day on the slopes, you will find that Aspen is as famous for its snow as for all its amenities, from the mountains to the restaurants and shops.
